Panel discussion: How to get a job in Finland?

March 14, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Welcome to an afternoon of discussion about job search!

What does it take to get into the Finnish job market? What can I do while I’m job hunting to improve my chances? What should I take into account when writing a cover letter and making a CV? Is it true that networks are all in Finland when it comes to landing a job? All of these questions -and many more!- pop up in our minds when applying for jobs in Finland. While there are no ultimate answers, we will bring together a set of panelists, with different areas of expertise, who will share their views and discuss suggestions for strategy. The audience can also bring questions and experience for the panel to discuss. The discussion will be in English.

Register in advance at [email protected]. You can also send questions in advance to the same email.

The panelists are Jarkko Laaksonen from Ohjaamo that will give practical advice for the job search (CV tips among other things), Joppe Quaedvlieg from Arctic startup that will speak about the importance of networking, Diego Barros from the Embassy of Brazil and Anna Lenkewitz from Nicehearts ry that will speak about their own experiences in finding employment.
