Project Aims

  • To highlight best practices in mentoring immigrants, and specifically to investigate the role of mentoring for immigrant women’s careers
  • To gather new knowledge and share experiences across Finland, Denmark and Norway, in order to develop and enhance employment-promoting methods for the target group
  • To develop recommendations for integration activities in the Nordic region, including how cooperation between the third sector and public authorities can support immigrant women getting a foothold in the labour market.

As of fall 2023, each programme has collected data using previous evaluations and fresh interviews with its participants, stakeholders and staff. The results will be published in a report in spring 2024.

The Kvinder i Job project will host a hybrid Nordic conference in May 2024, where results will be discussed and further developed through thematic workshops in each local context. The outcome of the workshops will be a catalogue of best practices for collaboration between civil society and local authorities in supporting the integration of immigrant women in the labor market and in society at large.
