Interest in integrating through Swedish into Finnish society is on the rise, and Luckan Integration is at the heart of this shift. Yle recently featured Luckan Integration and our team leader Veronica Hertzberg in an article exploring this growing interest in Swedish Integration in Finland.
In the article, Veronica highlights something fundamental to our work: every person has the right to choose their own integration path. Support should fit each individual’s unique situation and background, not the other way around.
The Yle article also explores the broader picture: the real opportunities that Swedish-language integration opens up, alongside the challenges that remain. Key themes include the need for accessible study opportunities, positive and welcoming attitudes from authorities, and consistent long-term support for those on this path.
“Everyone should have access to the information and support they need to make informed choices about their integration journey.”

The numbers show it too. A similar information event organised by Luckan Integration in 2019 “Welcome to Swedish Opportunities in the Capital Region” had 13 participants in 2019 while this year, around 150 people joined. A tenfold increase that reflects just how much interest there is in Swedish-language integration.
At Luckan Integration, we are proud to be a resource for people navigating this journey. Whether you are just starting out or looking for support along the way, we believe you deserve clear information and a team that understands your needs.
