Språkcafé på svenska
At Lagunen at the library in Dickursby/Tikkurila you will find the Språkcafé på svenska. It is held on Mondays between 14:00 and 15:00. Each time, there is a special theme, many of which are suggested by participants in the spring. The café runs from September 4th until December 4th.
Snacka på svenska språkcafé
At Lapinlahden Lähde you will find a discussion group in Swedish on Mondays between 17:00-18:30. The doors open at 16:30. The café starts on September 4th.
Språkcaféet Svea
At Böle/Pasila Library, you can join a language café called Svea. The language café meets on Wednesdays between 13:00 and 14:00 and runs from August 16th until December 13th.
Svenska på bibban
Once a month at Myrbacka/Myyrmäki Library, there is a language café called Svenska på bibban. You can practice your Swedish or just chat with other participants. Library staff lead the free-form discussion.
Svenska på bibban meets four times in the autumn of 2023: 14.9., 12.10., 16.11. and 14.12.
Internationellt kulturcafé / International Cultural Café in Swedish
The Good Coffee Company organises the International cultural café in Swedish on Thursdays between 16-17. Their aim is to provide an opportunity for foreigners to practice Swedish with local Swedish speakers. There is a facilitator for the discussion and they offer free coffee, tea, and biscuits for the participants.
Finnish-Swedish Short Films & Language Cafe
Watch a Finnish-Swedish short film, and then discuss topics related to the film at the following language café. They will meet biweekly on Thursdays from 17:30 to 19:00 at GAP’s space, located at Malmgatan 5. The cost for each language café is 5€.
Nordic Language Café at Nordic Culture Point
Are you interested in learning to speak one of the Nordic languages? Visit the popular language café to brush up your Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Icelandic.
This autumn they will meet 13.9, 11.10, 8.11 and 20.12 between 17-19 at Nordic Culture Point, Kaisaniemenkatu 9. There will also be two online language cafés, on 27.9 and 22.11 between 18-19
