For the fourth year in a row Luckan Integration welcomed 3500 new comers to the Capital Region, who’s mother tongue is neither Swedish, Finnish nor Sami, by mailing them a Welcome! letter. In the letter there was information about the bilingual Finland and an invitation to an event about Swedish opportunities in the Capital Region.
On the 19th of May 44 guests and representatives from eight different Finland Swedish organisations met for an evening about integration services, Swedish language courses, the programmes within vocational institutions and university, work opportunities and free time activities. To keep up with the Finland Swedish theme, apple juice from Åland was served together with freshly baked blueberry pie.
