There are three Swedish vocational schools in Nyland/Uusimaa.
Prakticum, in Helsingfors/Helsinki and Borgå/Porvoo. Prakticum offers vocational training, continuing education, short courses and other skills development. Our range is suitable for both young people and adults. Today’s vocational training is very flexible and allows for different combinations of learning environments.
Preparatory education HUX is available for students who are looking to enter vocational education but need to improve their language or other skills, or wish to explore the different vocational education and career path options before starting their vocational studies. While applying to Prakticum with a mothertongue other than Swedish you need to take Prakticums language test.
Solvalla-Folkhälsan is located in Esbo. Do you want to combine your interest in sports and health with an education that opens doors to an exciting career? Axxell is located in Esbo/Espoo, Karis/Karjaa and Raseborg/Raasepori. Axxell offers a wide range of vocational education for both young people and adults. As an adult student, you can develop your professional skills in a flexible way at Axxell. Your previous knowledge and experience are taken into account in your studies. Axxel do also offer vocational education in Finnish for immgrants in Helsinki.
Yrkesakademin i Österbotten (YA) is a large Swedish-language vocational college in Finland, with campuses in Vaasa, Jakobstad, Närpes, Pedersöre, and Vörå. YA offers a wide range of programmes in fields such as health and social care, business, technology, tourism, and natural resources. All taught in Swedish and closely connected to working life in the Ostrobothnia region.
