Last week, we hosted a wonderful Spanish Speaking Evening in cooperation with Luckan Integration Porvoo, Grand, and Hemcare. The main idea was to create a network for newcomers in Porvoo who do not yet have contacts there, connecting them with Spanish speakers who have been living there for a longer time and local residents who speak or are studying the Spanish language. We had 31 guests from different countries: Nicaragua, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, the USA, Chile, and, of course, Finland. In the end, there weren’t enough chairs for everyone to sit on. It was a nice and friendly atmosphere! Spontaneously, our participants initiated a WhatsApp chat to stay in touch, where the communication continues.
