Across literature, theater, movies, music and poetry, Finland-Swedes have always found unique ways to express themselves. Here are tips on how to find the cultural experiences that fit your taste.

Luckan organises a lot of events for a broad audience. You’ll find Luckan Integration’s events here, they are mostly in English, Luckan Helsingfors events here, they are mostly in Swedish, and Lilla Luckans events here, they are for families and children and are mostly in Swedish. All events are free of charge and open for all.

Kulturforum is an event calendar where you find Swedish-language activities and cultural events in Finland. The webpage is in Swedish.

Nordisk Kulturkontakt is a Nordic cultural center in Helsingfors with its own Nordic events.

Helsingfors Stad/City of Helsinki has Swedish speaking events at its cultural centers and libraries. Write Svenska in the search box.

The libraries have cultural events for all ages. Click on Begränsa sökningen and write Svenskspråkiga or Svenska in the search box, sökord.

To borrow books in Swedish at the library just choose the Swedish language button in the search results. The yearly Book Fair also has an area with Swedish language publishers and stages with litterary discussions in Swedish.

The Facebook group Svenskspråkiga filmer i huvudstadsregionen has information on when and where Swedish language movies are shown each week.

Kino Engel, a lovely movie theater, has Barnsöndagar, Children’s Sundays, where they show Swedish children’s movies.
