Maternity and Child Health Clinics

 Kela / Annika Söderblom

When you are pregnant you have the right to maternity and child health guidance. The guidance is provided by public healthcare.  It is recommended that you contact the maternity clinic when a pregnancy test gives a positive result. The maternity clinic will guide you through the pregnancy. Attending maternity clinic is one of the conditions for eligibility for maternity allowance. After the child has been born, the child health clinics assesses the child’s development until school starts.
