The JobBuddies mentorship program is now accepting applications for its final term starting in late August 2026. There will be two groups aimed at internationals with a background in either IT or teaching, respectively.
The programme is open to both newcomers and those who have been living here for a while, and who have education or experience – or both – in the fields mentioned above. What is JobBuddies?
JobBuddies is a mentorship program designed to support internationally trained professionals who are navigating the Finnish job market. Each group includes:
- 3 experienced mentors currently working or having expertise in the same field
- 15 mentees, all job seekers with a background in that industry
- 2 project team members, helping and supporting the group
Together, they form a supportive group where mentors share insights, industry knowledge, networking strategies, and personalised advice — including recommendations for updating skill sets to answer the needs of the Finnish market.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking motivated candidates who:
- Are internationals looking to enter or re-enter the workforce in their field
- Have previous education and/or professional experience in the industry relevant to the mentorship group
- Are eager to commit, learn, engage with peers, and take proactive steps in their job search
- Are based in the Uusimaa (Nyland) region
- Are able to take part in meetings on-site at Luckan’s premises in the centre of Helsinki
